Right Color Combination for Your Wedding

As we enter season 2014 everyone’s minds are back on the wedding scene, this month alone I have attended 4 wedding fairs and there’s plenty of exciting things to see this year. When you decide on the color combination, you should also need to condider the color of your wedding dress. One of the most exciting trends this year is the focus on color alone and how to make clever use of color through exciting combinations. Out with cheesy gimmicks and just plain old color created through stunning flower bouquets and pretty fabric rags to create little handmade tassels, bunting and garlands. So here’s our list of exciting color combinations to consider for the year ahead.

Mustard & Teal

One of the brightest choices from our color combinations this combo will really suit a beach style wedding however it will look great at any venue. Be imaginative in how to use the colors and how much of each shade you use.

Coral & Fuchsia Pink

Another bright color combination and one, which has remained popular throughout 2013, for an update in 2014, add a touch of orange and an array of tonal pinks. If you don’t want your style to be too bright but love the colors, why not try a pop of color, such as bright heels or pretty flowers for your table decorations.

Dusty Grey & Pink
We love this combo and it’s perfect for more formal events and will look fabulous in spring with its pastel shades. This look needs to be kept minimal but it doesn’t mean you cannot play around with prints. Try using illustrative floral designs for your invitations or a flash of colour in your accessories.

Tones of Orchid Pink

As color of the year, it is no wonder that Orchid pink couldn’t escape our top list of combos, however this combo is more subtle than the others by using shades and tints of this magnificent color, along with a hint of cream. Obviously when it comes to the table decorations and bouquets nothing will look better than actual orchids.

Mint Green & Ivory

Forget all last seasons mint color combos, this year there is only one to consider and this is it! This year we are looking for much cleaner fresher styles, so keep all other colors to a minimum and let mint take all the glory. Mix it up with ivory rather than white and add a flash of gold for something extra special.

Blush Pink & Sage

Blush pink is set to be big this year on it’s own, however if you do wish to add another color to the look, try a touch of sage and even gold. We love the use of soft organza and chiffon and pretty rose and peonies into your styling.
